Eric Bristow MBE sadly passed away Thursday evening after suffering a heart attack.
One of the first superstars of darts the five times World Professional Champion and five times Winmau World Masters Champion cut a dash on the oche and put darts on the map and attracted viewers to the sport with his skill and style that appealed to all except his opponents.
In an era that saw his great rivalry with John Lowe, Jockey Wilson, Leighton Rees, and the fiery Alan Evans every stage was final was exciting and often explosive.
Eric’s contribution to the sport was immense and he will always be remembered as one of the greatest.
Our Deepest sympathies to Jane and Eric’s family.
